BIJNOR-“The Center of Religious Diversity”, Bijnor district is one of the 75 districts in the state of Uttar Pradesh in Indi, it is the district headquarters. The government of Uttar Pradesh seeks it to be included in National Capital Region (NCR) due to its close proximity to NCT of Delhi. It is believed that this place was once home to Kanva Rishi’s Ashram. Emperor Bharatha, the son of King Dushyanta, spent his early days in Vidur Kuti. About 37 km from Bijnor there is a famous fort which is founded by Nawab Najib-Ud-Daulah. Najibabad Ganj that is situated along the banks of the river Ganges, about 12 km from the town of Bijnor.
